Set pricing and durations
A service's pricing and duration decide what clients pay and how much of the calendar the booking takes up.
Pricing
- Price - what the service costs.
- Type - Fixed for a set price, or Starting At when the final price can go up.
Deposits and payment at booking
Turn on Require payment at the time of booking to take money when clients book online:
- Full payment - the full service price is charged during online booking.
- Partial deposit - a fixed amount or a percentage of the price is charged during online booking.
Deposits need Stripe or Square connected in Settings > Client Billing. For appointments you book from the calendar, click Save & collect deposit to take one. See Collect deposits.
Duration, processing and block time
Set the Total duration, or split the service into parts:
- Add processing time - split the service into Service duration (active work), Processing duration (waiting time, like colour developing) and Finishing duration (rinse, style or final touches). Other clients can be booked with the team member during processing.
- Add block time - reserve time after the appointment for clean-up, checkout or travel. It's set with Block duration after.
