How payments work in Zobliss
Zobliss takes card payments through a payment processor that you connect. You can connect Stripe, Square or both. Money from card payments goes straight into your own Stripe or Square account.
What a processor unlocks
Without a processor you can still take Cash and Gift card payments at checkout. Connecting Stripe or Square adds:
- Card payments at checkout - charge a saved card or a new card.
- Saved cards - store a client's card to charge later.
- Deposits - take a deposit or full payment when clients book online, or from the calendar.
- Cancellation fees - charge a fee when a client cancels late.
- Card on file - ask clients to add a card when they book online.
- Online gift card sales and invoice payments.
- Refunds straight back to the client's card.
Stripe or Square?
Both work for everything above. The main differences:
- Square also works with the Square Terminal, so clients can tap, insert or swipe their card in person.
- Stripe has a Manage account page inside Zobliss where you can see payments and payouts.
- Only Stripe lets you change a location's Require card on file setting.
If you connect both, you choose which one to use each time you take a card payment, and each card is saved with the processor you added it to.
Where to connect
Go to Settings > Client Billing. See Connect Stripe and Connect Square.
